Our Superior Organic Matcha is from The Province of Zhejiang in China. Matcha originated in the Tang Dynasty in 618-970. Before being introduced into Japan where it has become an integral part of Japanese culture and life. There has been a resurgence of production in China in recent years. The leaves are harvested, processed and then milled into a fine powder. Matcha has a strong fresh aroma and is known to be extremely high in antioxidants, amino acids, and approximately 65% more nutrients than normal green tea.
